Marylin-Rambo - Izizolaop

Noise/math rock duo from France return, well did back in January with their third album. Perhaps a bit more of the metal and punk elements over their previous efforts, still mostly a math/noise affair and still sweet so good stuff. Out on the name the price over the bandcamp. Izizolaop

Zeus! - Opera

Not really quite sure how to describe these, but what comes to mind is something like a mathy/noise rock two piece like lightning bolt meets the sound of the locust.. Pretty much fricking sweet really. As you may well have guessed these are a two piece, they come from Italy. This ain't up for free but they are only asking for peanuts. So good. Opera

Crustaceanation - Force Feeding A Preschooler An Ounce Of Shrooms and Fucking Him To Death With A Dull Chef's Knife

Ok so been a bit slack with posting the last few days.. So think this band has some potential to be pretty sweet by the sound of this three track ep. These guys mix up the math with elements of progressive metal type stuff. Basically good tunes, could do with some higher production values, more thought out song structures maybe, but are brimming with good ideas and rock in many places.. So can't find out too much about these apart from they're from Lincoln and that they dropped this in April. Really looking forward to hearing where their sound ends up after this. This is up for totally free on bandcamp.

Omniataxia - Omniataxia

I like what these guys here are doing and it sounds like they work hard to push the envelope. Omniataxia are a two piece from Boston playing experimental metal with a strong math rock vein running through, also stepping through noise rock and jazz elements great stuff. Three tracks released from these guys at the start of August for name your price up on bandcamp, Three epic tunes that range from chaotic almost tech grind style shreds to ambient noise. Check them out up on bandcamp.

Ron Jarzombek - PHHHP!

Right was listening to this yesterday and thought yeah need to put some Ron up in here. This has been said before (not by me) but I will reiterate, Ron should be a legend to lots of people by now, he is to some and I'm pretty sure he exercises a lot of influence over progressive types that know him but, still considering the stuff he has put out there and super wickedness of his guitar skills and song writing, I just think he deserves more acclaim. He's played in bands such as Watchtower, Spastic Ink and more recently Blotted science, all of which are pretty rocking. I thought I'd start out with some of his solo stuff as its good maybe a bit odd but I love it.. Basically some metal progressive oddness with some ultimately sweet guitar work really good. So Basically this came out long long time ago way way back in 1996! haha I was like 12, nowadays you get PHHHP! plus which comes with eclectic electric but I thought I'd save that one for another time cos I'm mean.. It's good, doesn't sound that dated especially cos it's like him and keyboard and bits and people put out stuff not this good now, anyway if you wanna check it out it's here.

Aminals - The Weird Horror Of Social Relevance

Right so this little two track was released back in March this year and is good stuff if you like stuff rocking and heavy, I do.. Love the breakdowns these guys do seriously rocking shit. So these guys come from over the pond in New England and go under the tags of Death Metal, Hardcore, Metal, Punk Experimental on their bandcamp I'd go for Hardcore punk but hey who cares. They Kinda remind me of Refused in some ways which is a good thing in my book. They used to go under the name Atomic Ballroom calamity and they were good then too.. They have all their stuff up for free download on their bandcamp  which is nice of them! Really looking forward to hearing a full length under the Aminals name. Anyway check out this two track here.
